Fissure Security (“Fissure,” “we,” “us”) is an independent security-research and product company based in Dallas, Texas. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with this website and our conversations with you. We keep it deliberately short because we deliberately collect very little.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you email us or use a contact form, we receive what you choose to send: typically your name, organization, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Basic technical logs. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard server information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
  • No tracking cookies. This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

2. How we use it

We use the information you send only to respond to you, to provide the materials or evaluation you asked for, and to keep records of our correspondence. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make our business run, for example our email and website-hosting providers, and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Fissure, our users, or the public.

4. How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to serve the relationship it relates to and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

5. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you’ve shared with us, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, other U.S. state laws, or the GDPR. 6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we design for the minimum footprint precisely so there is little to expose.

7. Children

This site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we’ll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, note it clearly.
